The American Medical Society for Sports Medicine (AMSSM) is proud to partner in the second edition of the 5-Minute Sports Medicine Consult. Since it’s inception in 1991, the AMSSM has been the group of physicians with expertise in the breadth of sports medicine.
Over the past 18 years, the AMSSM has grown to over 1,600
members and is leading sports medicine into the future. Many of the
chapters in the first edition were written by members of the AMSSM;
however, the second edition is almost exclusively written by AMSSM
members. The chapter editors for this edition were chosen from a large
group of qualified and experienced AMSSM members; both the editors and
authors have done an excellent job in helping make this a high-quality
reference book.
